Reese Witherspoon finally files for divorce from Jim Toth after 12 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences based on the court records obtained by TMZ.

Reese Witherspoon and Husband Call It Quits!
Witherspoon, 47, and Toth, 52, met in 2010 when they were introduced by a common friend, as per Marca. Despite not planning on getting into another relationship as she just recently ended a relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Witherspoon is reported charmed by Toth’s sense of humor and intelligence. They dated for a year before they married in March 2011 in a private ceremony.
However, after almost 12 years of being married, Witherspoon took to Instagram to share the news of the couple splitting. The couple said in a joint statement that she and her husband were calling it quits. They added that although they shared wonderful years together, they are moving forward with love and respect for each other.
Witherspoon shares a 10-year-old son with Toth and added that he is their biggest priority as well as their family. The “Little Fires Everywhere” star also has a 23-year-old daughter named Ava, and a 19-year-old son from her ex-husband Ryan Philippe.

Prenuptial Agreement Between Reese Witherspoon and Husband
On March 2011, Witherspoon and Toth signed a prenuptial agreement that is valid. Page Six reported that the document will provide “adequate and sufficient provisions” for the ex-couple’s assets and debts. Aside from the prenuptial agreement documents, Witherspoon also reportedly submitted a permanent parenting plan.
They will have 60 days to submit a certificate of completion to the court. Page Six exclusively reported last month that Witherspoon and Toth ended their marriage as it has become platonic and had no romance left. There was no drama regarding their split, they have just become co-parents with no romantic feelings for each other anymore.
