According to an arrest document from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to a house after a 911 hang-up call reported a potential domestic dispute.

According to the complaint, the victim told deputies that Alfonso hit her with a pizza slice on the left side of her face during a heated dispute after she hit another person in the house “on his bottom area.”

Deputies reported that they discovered pizza sauce over the victim’s front, collar, and back of her shirt. Additionally, she had “remnants of pizza” in her ears and hair.
According to the complaint, the victim allowed investigators to search the house, where they discovered pizza sauce on the kitchen’s walls and ceiling.

Alfonso admitted to deputies that he and the victim had argued while he was being jailed.
Alfonso claimed that he tossed the pizza slice and that it hit the victim in the face when deputies inquired as to whether he had struck her in the face with it.

Deputies stated in the affidavit that the defendant claimed he only struck the victim with the pizza slice and not with his hands.
After being detained on a battery charge, Alfonso was checked into the Marion County Jail. Later, he was let go on his own recognizance.
