When he promoted his progressive platform whereas in Florida the previous week, California Governor Gavin Newsom fired shots at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
In an interview with Insider, Newsom said that the GOP’s actions in Florida showed a lack of concern for the people of that state.
“Understanding how your actions are trying to harm individuals and put their life in danger yet continuing to do it — that tells all about the nature of our country, not simply this public individual and others who are involved in the legislature, according to Newsom. “Our choices have made this possible; we are the results of our actions.”
Newsom was talking about the recent laws that were passed in Florida that restricted rights to abortion, restricted what was taught in public schools, made it simpler to carry guns and protected LGBTQ rights.
