Johnny Depp and Mark Wahlberg Rejected the Role of Linus Caldwell in the Film “Ocean’s Eleven”
George Clooney offered Johnny Depp and Mark Wahlberg the role of Linus Caldwell in the movie “Ocean’s Eleven” but the two actors rejected the offer of Clooney.
In an interview with Clooney at the 2023 TCM Classic Film Festival, he revealed the names of two famous people in the industry who rejected the role and he said one of them said to f— right off. He said Mark Wahlberg and Johnny Depp are the famous people who rejected it.
Clooney revealed that the possible reason why the two actors decline the role of Linus Caldwell may be because they are not yet known and not yet stable in the industry. Their studio is not big compared to others, and he admitted that they don’t have very good films at the time when he made an offer.
In the end, the role of Linus Caldwell was given to the actor who accepted it, and it was Matt Damon.
