At Pittsburgh, Norfolk Southern train carriages crashed

According to KDKA, several Norfolk Southern carriages have crashed in the Pittsburgh region. Only after 12:30 pm local time did, the dispatcher inform KDKA that 5 empty automobiles had crashed along West Carson and Telford streets close to Brunot Island.

Although no accidents or damages have been confirmed, this is the railroad company’s third disaster in the past 2 months. A Norfolk Southern train crashed in Alabama in March as the business came under increased pressure for its safety procedures, just hours before the CEO appeared before Congress. At about 6:45 a.m. local time, 30 railway cars crashed in White Plains, Alabama, according to the Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency’s Facebook page.

At the beginning of February, a railway crashed in East Palestine, Ohio, forcing emergency officials to destroy a few of the damaged cars’ poisonous chemicals to avoid an uncontrollable explosion, causing the departure of half of the town’s 5,000 citizens.

Officials from the government claim that testing has not discovered harmful chemical concentrations in the region’s water or air. Yet, many locals are even so worried for their long-term safety.
