The birthday celebration become the most terrifying moment of the night when a mass shooting incident happened in Alabama killing 4 people. One of them is the celebrant’s brother, Philstavious “Phil” Dowdell.

Alexis Dowdell, the one celebrating her birthday, recalls the moment when she heard someone is firing them while having a party. Just hours later, her brother, Philstavious “Phil” Dowdell, was one of the four people fatally shot in downtown Dadeville. There are also 32 people who are reported injured.

Phil pushed Alexis to the ground to avoid the bullets that are coming in their direction. Later, after Alexis realized her big brother had been shot, she pleaded with him to stay alive.

“You’re going to make it. You’re strong,” Alexis told her 18-year-old brother as his consciousness wavered. She begged: “Don’t give up on me.” Many of those shots were of people close to Alexis.

Though the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has said 32 were injured, the police officers have not yet announced their specific ages and where they were shot.
