Alabama Shooting: Man Shoots 2 People in Funeral Home
Officials detained a person shortly after someone called 911 to report a gunshot in the Cullman Funeral Home’s parking lot in Alabama, Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry mentioned.
However, Gentry clarified that while the suspect harmed two people, their suspect’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The cop, who spoke to The Cullman Times (via Fox News report), added that the shooting took place before service and seems to be family-related.
Champ Crocker, the district attorney for Cullman County, told ABC 33/40 that the victims were family members who were there for the ceremony and that this was a family affair.
The suspect was detained in the parking lot, Gentry added, in a press conference that was uploaded on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page.
Cases Charged Vs. Suspect
Two charges of aggravated assault/attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm were brought against a 33-year-old suspect.

Whaley said the officials accused McDearmond with two charges of aggravated assault/attempted murder as well as two counts of aggravated assault on family using a pistol.
