A 10-year-old Wisconsin Boy Accused Of Killing His Mom, and The Attorney Asked The Lower Bail To $100
A 10-year-old Wisconsin boy accused of fatally shooting his mother because she didn’t allow him to order a virtual reality headset from Amazon, the attorney asked for the child’s bail to be lowered from $50,000 to $100. During a Wednesday hearing, the attorney, Angela Cunningham, asked for a lower bail amount because the child has no source of income to pay for the bail.
Cunningham said in court, according to the news station that his team had spoken to him about his ability to post anything. The child told them about piggy banks with savings that he had from gifts, birthday gifts, and scavenging through cushions in the couch that he’s been able to save up.
The judge denied the attorney’s request and kept bail at $50,000. The court also set a travel restriction if bail is posted, mandating the boy to stay in Milwaukee County. According to court records, a decision has not been made on the matter. Attorneys for the child, who that charged as an adult with first-degree reckless homicide and an alternative to a charge of first-degree intentional homicide, requested for the latleadarge to be dropped,
At exactly 6:50 a.m. on Nov. 21, the shooting unfolded at the 7400 block of North 87th Street in Milwaukee. The next morning, According to the complaint the boy went to buy an Oculus Virtual Reality Headset with his deceased mother’s Amazon account and even asked his grandmother whether his package had arrived.

According to a published post by Yahoo!, the 44-year-old mother victim, identified by WTMJ as Quiana Mann, was shot at a close range. The criminal complaint said, the bullet entered her right eye and exited the back of her head through her skull.
The accused boy told investigators initially that the gun “accidentally went off” as he was twirling it around his finger, but later after that, he admitted that he wasn’t twirling the gun when he allegedly shot his mom. According to the complaint he killed his mother, he went to the second-story bedroom to wake his 26-year-old sister, that discovered their mother was dead, and called 911.
The boy admitted that his mother wouldn’t allow him to buy something from Amazon that he wanted to have. He admitted that he retrieved the gun because he was upset at her for waking him up at 6 a.m. when he usually sleeps until 6:30 a.m., he also admitted getting his mother’s keys to her gun lockbox the night before that.
The complaint said the cruel boy admitted to him knowing that guns are dangerous and can kill people. The sister told police that the boy had rage issues becameomes very angry and acted out, the complaint said. The boy told the investigators that he has 5 different imaginary people that talk to him.
A therapist who had been meeting with the boy gave him a diagnosis, and no further details on the diagnosis were said. If the boy is convicted, the child faces a maximum of 60 years in prison.
