The deadline for the application of between $200 to $400 monthly payments comes near and more Americans are now receiving their payments.

$200 and $400 Monthly Payments

There are more monthly payments waiting for Americans this 2023 but they need to hit the deadline for application to claim the benefits. Last month, a universal basic income program in Massachusetts started to kick off its second phase.

According to a report published in The U.S. Sun, around 2,000 households received monthly payments during the first phase of the monthly payments. Likewise, hundreds of families will receive an amount between $200 to $400 in the second phase.

Moreover, the second phase is intended to help residents in Chelsea combat the energy costs and soaring inflation rate during the winter months.

Chelsea residents still have enough time to claim their monthly payments. They can submit their application online no later than 12:00 p.m. on Jan.6, 2023. The income of the applicants must be at or below 30 percent the area median, which is as follows:

  • Household of one: $29,450

  • Household of three: $37,850
  • Household of four: $42,050
  • Household of five: $45,450
  • Household of six: $48,800
  • Household of seven: $52,150

Moreover, the monthly income will depend on family size. For example, a household of one will get $200, a household of two will get $300, and a household of four or more will get $400 a month.

City Officials said, “Priority will be given to those with children under 18, disabled residents, veterans, seniors 65+, families who are ineligible for other forms of government assistance, families with a female-identifying head of household, families with a member self-identifying with a minoritized/marginalized gender-identity.”
