UNIVERSITY PLACE, Texas (KTRK) — WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, Texas According to the police, an inquiry is currently being conducted after a person was reportedly followed home from the bank on Tuesday.
An officer on patrol in West University Place robbery intercepted, the 2800 block of Plumb Street spotted, at around 2:35 p.m., a car parked with its door open on the street.
The officer made the decision to investigate and was in the middle of having a conversation with the passenger when all of a sudden, a suspect emerged and sprinted away from a neighboring residence.

As per reports made by the police, the suspect drove away in the suspicious vehicle. An investigation conducted afterwards found that the suspect had followed a victim home from a bank, and “upon access to the house,” attempted to steal the victim’s pocketbook.
According to the police report, the victim gained injuries as a result of the confrontation with the suspect. The suspect got into the suspicious vehicle and drove away from the spot without taking anything with them.
Police are currently looking into the robbery attempt and trying to identify the individuals who may have been involved.
