Kaylin Gillis Fatally Shot by A 65-Year-Old Man

Kaylin Gillis was identified as the victim of the shooting incident that happened in Hebron, New York. The New York woman was shot twice by Kevin D. Monahan, the homeowner after Gillis accidentally pulled her car into Monahan’s driveway. It was reported that Gillis was riding with her boyfriend when the shooting incident happened.

Monahan is a 65-year-old man and is now charged with second-degree murder after shooting a 20-year-old New York woman Gillis.

In an interview with Monahan’s attorney, Kurt Mausert, he said Monahan encountered numerous tragic mistakes, made by many people. And he thought that when Gillis hit his driveway, he thought that it was again the people who strike his property again and that is why he get his gun and shoot the one inside the car, which resulted in Gillis’s death.

Tony Jordan, Citing District Attorney said Monahan might face many charges. He was also denied bail on Wednesday.

Washington Country Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy said to CNN, “Monahan has not shown any remorse in this case.” He also added, “He is not cooperative. He would not come out and talk to patrols.” Now Monahan has been accused by Murphy of having no empathy for Gillis’ murder.
