Unified Government Is Encouraging Seniors To Apply For Tax Rebates, See What Seniors at Home Will Receive

Wyandotte County’s Unified Government of Kansas City, Kansas, is encouraging and asking seniors to apply for tax rebates that were launched on Jan. 3.

A statement from the Unified Government has said that any seniors can apply to get financial support with rebates for their homes, utilities, and necessities.

Seniors can also call 311 at any of the available locations to make an appointment for the completion of applications. If it is needed, the county can arrange free transportation for them to their designated place of appointment.

If you need transportation, you are encouraged to make arrangements in advance within 48 hours.

Changes Over Time On Rebate Programs In 2022

Homestead Safe Senior Rebate Program: resident of Wyandotte County that is born before January 1, 1967, disabled or blind before 2022, and does own their home for an entire year or have dependent minors under the age of 18 living along with them, with an annual income worth of $37,750 or lesser than that may be eligible for a tax refund.

The new Senior Veteran Rebate, a disabled veteran or partner of a disabled veteran may qualify if their annual income is less than $50,000 or around $50,000.
