On Monday, 3 important House GOP chairmen attempted to become involved in an inquiry against Donald Trump before any possible criminal allegations the former president might face. The action shows how far House Republicans will go to protect Trump in the event of an arrest, even if they admit they are unaware of the full extent of any possible accusations.
The 3 chairmen of the House, Jim Jordan of the House Judiciary, James Comer of the House Oversight, and Bryan Steil of the House Administration, sent over a letter requesting testimony from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and dismissing his inquiry into President Trump as an “unexpected abuse of prosecutorial authority.”

During an interview with CNN, Jordan justified his request for Bragg to speak about the active investigation into Trump, insisted that Trump didn’t do anything wrong, and admitted he didn’t understand the extent of possible charges.
“We need Mr. Bragg to speak, to have an interview that is recorded, and we need the contact among his office and the DOJ. We have also requested all of that info, he said CNN.
The 3 chairmen state in their letter that they want to investigate if Bragg and his office misused federal public security money for their grand jury investigation of an adult film actress named Stormy Daniels’ bribe money scam.
