The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, was accused of organizing bribe money payouts to 2 women before the 2016 presidential election to prevent the public disclosure of one‘s sex acts with him. On Tuesday, he was accused of 34 felonies for faking business data in a historic scenario.
Trump, the first U.S. president to be charged criminally while in office or afterward, was convicted by attorneys in Manhattan of attempting to hide a crime of election rules throughout his successful 2016 campaign.
As the judge questioned Trump, 76, in court about his plea, he responded, “Not guilty.” Only at the defense table, which was surrounded by his attorneys, Trump sat sadly with his hands crossed while wearing a dark blue outfit and a reddish tie.
Trump, who is currently in the lead for the GOP nominee in 2024, answered the judge’s questions about his understanding of rights by saying things like “sure.” The judge occasionally placed his hand over his ear as though to seek a response.
“The defendant Donald J. Trump manipulated New York company documents to disguise a criminal conspiracy to harm the legitimacy of the 2016 presidential election as well as other crimes of election regulations,” the prosecutor Chris Conroy stated.
