Currently, Donald Trump has increased his criticism of Ron DeSantis in expectation of a probable Republican primary debate in 2024. We won’t lie; we anticipated the former president would wait at least a couple extra months before charging the Florida governor with pedophilia.
But on Tuesday, Trump did just that by distributing a few images from Truth Social that allegedly showed DeSantis “grooming high school girls with booze as a teacher.”
“Ron’s not in there, is he?” Trump joked in his writing. “He wouldn’t do something like that.”
DeSantis’ career as an instructor at the Darlington School in northwest Georgia was covered by the New York Times last year. According to the report, DeSantis was “a consistent presence at parties” with seniors at the school, according to many classmates. One former pupil said to the Times, “As an 18-year-old, I remember wondering, ‘What are you doing here, dude?'”
The Hill Reporter, a Democratic blog, first posted the image Trump released on Tuesday in 2021. The blog highlighted that the females in the image were seniors when the picture was shot in 2002.
On Wednesday, DeSantis replied to Trump’s posts. He claimed, “I dedicate my time to fighting against Joe Biden and producing outcomes for the citizens of Florida.
