As per updated tax forms made public by the White House on Tuesday, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden made $579,514 in 2022, a little decrease from the amount they received the year before.
The publication clashes with the IRS date for Americans to submit their taxes. Vice President Kamala Harris and 2nd Gentleman Doug Emhoff earned $456,918 together this past year, according to the White House’s disclosure of their tax filings, a big decrease from 2021, after they auctioned their home.
In the past year, the president and first lady merged their federal, Delaware, and Virginia income tax payments to total $169,820. They paid the federal government $137,658 of that, making their actual federal income tax rate 23.8%.
The president’s $400,000 yearly salary, set by Congress, and retirees made up the majority of their combined earnings. Two S Corporations, CelticCapri Corp. and Giacoppa Corp., that the White House has told earlier were created up to obtain earnings from their speaking and writing engagements, pulled in a little over $5,000 for the first pair.
When compared to the previous year, when such firms generated over $62,000 in revenue, their earnings were much lower.
