Several states are getting ready to distribute direct payments to people to relieve inflation, but there is no federal action toward another round of stimulus checks.
The $1,500-plus stimulus payments are intended to assist Americans who are struggling to pay for rising food, gas, and housing prices.
The following states will begin distributing stimulus grants to their citizens as early as this month.
California Stimulus Checks
Millions of Californians got debit cards or direct deposits of up to $1,050 in inflation or stimulus checks.
California authorities expected that most of the monies would be delivered late in 2022 or this month, with the remainder being disbursed by direct deposit or postal debit cards by February 15, 2023.
Residents of California received different amounts according on their household size, tax-filing status, and income.

Colorado Cash Back Refund
Due to the 1992 Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) Amendment, the state’s residents who submitted their 2021 return by June 30 should have received a tangible stimulus check for $750 by September 30. (Co-filers were awarded $1,500.)
In order to send Colorado Cash Back refunds to taxpayers more quickly, Gov. Jared Polis passed a bill in May. By late August, more than half had already been cashed. Those who requested an extension and submitted their paperwork by the Oct. 17 deadline will be refunded by January 31, 2023.

Additionally, New York City Mayor Eric Adams approved legislation providing a one-time property tax rebate of up to $150 to hundreds of thousands of low- and middle-class city residents.
If the property is their principal residence, owners of one, two, or three-family homes with earnings of $250,000 or less in 2020 are eligible.
Beginning in late August 2022, stimulus checks were delivered to homeowners who were granted a School Tax Relief (STAR) credit or exemption for the fiscal year 2023.
Virginia Tax Rebate
A one-time tax rebate worth $250 for single filers or $500 for couples filing jointly was given to millions of Virginians.
On September 19, 2022, payments by stimulus checks and direct deposit began to be made. Craig Burns, commissioner of the Virginia Department of Taxation, asserts that all taxpayers who submitted their forms by November 1 ought to have gotten their refunds by the end of 2022.
Individuals who failed to submit banking information on their return, whose direct deposit was rejected, or whose refund was reduced by unpaid bills received physical cheques.
