Over 175,000 people will get a $1,000 stimulus check from the government as a surprise. Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has proposed a $1,000 payment to teachers. In the last two years, Florida teachers have received their second stimulus payment.
Who may get a stimulus check worth $1,000?
Teachers in Florida can also expect a salary increase, from $40,000 to $47,500. Last November, the Governor presented his proposals for the 2022 education budget. He advocated an increase in funding for kids in grades K through 12 as well as instructors. He also suggested a slew of new education programs and investments, according to Digital Market News.
DeSantis stated that the government intends to change the education sector by continuing to increase teacher salaries, providing a bonus to teachers and principals, prioritizing the educational workforce, and promoting a rich civics curriculum. He also proposed that the FSA be replaced with progress monitoring.
The governor of Florida suggested that the supplementary $1,000 stimulus check be used to reward and incentivize the 179,000 administrators and teachers in the state. The teacher shortage persists and has increased as a result of the epidemic. Full-time teachers from pre-kindergarten through high school leaders and instructors will get the one-time stimulus check.
Gov. DeSantis urges for a salary increase for teachers
Governor Ron DeSantis recommended raising money for instructors for children in grades K-12, as well as investing in innovative education programs, in November of last year. This would be the second teacher coronavirus stimulus check in a row if the plan is granted.
Per Mena FN, this stimulus payment is intended to recognize and reward 179,000 Florida teachers and principals for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
Full-time pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade classroom teachers and principals would be eligible for the teacher coronavirus stimulus check. DeSantis’ budget offers $600 million for teacher pay raises, which is $50 million more than last year’s proposal.
