The Social Security Agency (SSA) has provided retired workers monthly payouts since 1940. Also, the SSA pays recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI), additional disability benefits, and survivor benefits each month.

AS mentioned that the SSA already declared an 8.7% cost of living adjustment (COLA), increasing 2023 Social Security benefits. Payments for January and February have already been made, and benefits for March are now being sent out by the SSA.

The Social Security taxes for 2023 is 6.2% of gross wage up to $160,200 – individual employees will have to pay up to $9,932 this year.

Social Security Payouts: March 2023 Schedule Revealed

NJ.com noted that most Social Security claimants receive their payments on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday, depending on the day of their birth.

According to this calendar and your date of birth, the SSA will mail your March 2023 check on a particular day.

You receive your payments on the second Wednesday of the month, for instance, if your birthday is between the first and the tenth of the month. These people, who receive social security checks, ought to have had their first one by March 8.

Your payments will be delivered on the third Wednesday of the month if your birthday falls between the 11th and the 20th. The deadline for checks to be delivered to those who fell under this group was March 15.

Your payments are due on the fourth Wednesday of the month if your birthday falls between December 21 and December 31. If this describes you, your payment will be made on March 22.

SSI participants will get their next payment on March 31. But, if you got Social Security before May 1997 or are a recipient of both SSI and Social Security, you should have received SSI on March 1 and Social Security on March 3.

Difference Between Benefits

CNet (via MSN News) mentioned that the payment schedule is different if you earned Social Security payments before May 1997 or received both Social Security and SSI. You will now get your payment on the third day of each month and your SSI payment on the first day of each month rather than on a Wednesday.

Those payment dates are altered if the first or third of the month comes on a weekend or a holiday. SSI participants receive their April payments a day early on March 31 and their payment on April 3, for example, because April 1 occurs on a Saturday this year.

The SSA advises waiting three more mailing days before getting in touch if your check doesn’t arrive on the day specified above due to your birth date or other circumstances.

Call 800-772-1213 to talk with a representative if you still haven’t gotten it. The SSA points out that wait times are shorter on Wednesday through Friday and in the late afternoon on workdays.

Also, you may have an online access to your benefits.
