As we age, some common tasks might become difficult to finish, and other challenges could be encountered due to health reasons. Mobility can be a big hindrance for most older people, making grocery shopping a tough endeavor, especially for those without a car.
Luckily, the Federal government designed the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to help older adults afford nutritious food and assist in getting groceries.

How Can SNAP EBT Card Help?
Aside from using the SNAP EBT card for purchasing food or grocery items in eligible stores, it can also be used for purchasing through online grocery delivery and pickup. The SNAP EBT card is also available online, saving people time and aiding those who are less mobile.
Older people can use this assistance through apps and websites. SNAP EBT online shopping is available at major digital retailers like Amazon, Target, and Walmart. The EBT card can also be used for grocery delivery services like Instacart.
Different grocery stores across the country run a grocery delivery or pickup option. Groceries on Amazon and Amazon’s Fresh – a grocery delivery and pickup service – now accept EBT cards in all states except Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, and Louisiana.
You can access the SNAP EBT card on Amazon.com in the Grocery and Gourmet Food section. You’ll find a wide variety of non-perishable pantries and shelf-stable food items. You can find the EBT-eligible food items by looking for the label “SNAP EBT Eligible.”
