SNAP Benefits in Florida
The Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS) of the Florida Department of Children and Families is in charge of evaluating SNAP eligibility and apportioning funds to Florida SNAP accounts on a regular monthly basis, according to a published article in Yahoo News.
Anywhere that displays the Quest logo, including most significant grocery store chains, certain shops, and participating farmers’ markets, accepts your Florida EBT card. Depending on where you live, you might even be able to order groceries using your EBT card and have them delivered to your house.
Moreover, the following are the eligible food item you can purchase:
- Fruits and vegetables
- Meat, poultry and fish
- Dairy products
- Breads and cereals
- Snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages
- Seeds and plants, which produce food for the household to eat
Alcoholic drinks, tobacco products, vitamins, medications, dietary supplements, live animals, pet food, cleaning supplies, paper goods, cosmetics, and hot, ready-to-eat foods are a few of the things you can’t purchase with SNAP benefits.

AMAZON PRIME
Florida residents who receive SNAP benefits can subscribe to Amazon Prime EBT Discount for only $6.99 per month or nearly half the standard price.
COMPUTERS, INTERNET, CELLPHONES
Through the Affordable Connectivity Program, qualified SNAP recipients may be eligible to receive up to a $30 monthly discount on internet service or a $75 monthly discount if a household is located on eligible tribal lands, or a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer and a low-cost service plan covered by the ACP. Through the Federal Communications Commission’s Lifeline program, eligible SNAP participants can also receive a free mobile phone.
FARMER’S MARKETS
Fresh Access Bucks (FAB), a project of Feeding Florida, is a state-wide nutrition incentive program that motivates SNAP beneficiaries in Florida to utilize their benefits at farmers’ markets, produce stands, CSAs, mobile markets, and community grocery stores. You will earn $1 in Fresh Access Bucks if you use your EBT card to make a $1 fresh food purchase. The locations of the stores that accept and double SNAP and P-EBT benefits are shown on the following map.
