Since the jury found the plaintiff “100%” at fault for the ski tragedy, Gwyneth Paltrow prevailed

Gwyneth Paltrow was found not to be at fault by a civil jury on Thursday in a ski accident at Deer Valley Resort involving a former doctor.

The actress and health advocate claimed $1 in compensation in her lawsuit, and the Park City, Utah jury ruled that former optometrist Terry Sanderson was fully to blame for the accident.

There was no denying that crash between Paltrow and Sanderson on the mountains that day. But during a civil trial that lasted 8 days, 2 very different stories were revealed.

After the decision, Paltrow stated in a statement provided by her attorneys, “I believed that submitting to a baseless allegation harmed my dignity.” She also appreciated the efforts of the judge and court.

Sanderson informed reporters outside the courtroom that Paltrow wished him well as she escaped the room and touched his shoulder. He claimed that his answer was “Thank you, sweetie.”

Stephen Owens, a lawyer for the actor, stated outside the court, “Gwyneth seems to have a record of standing up for her principles. She will keep looking out for what is right in situations like this one.”
