Idaho, Maine, and Alaska residents are expected to receive stimulus checks later this month.
Idaho will send out income tax rebates of $300 for individual taxpayers and $600 for couples by March 31. Maine will also send the remaining payments of energy relief rebates of $450 by March 31. Meanwhile, eligible residents of Alaska who applied for the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) by March 10 are expected to receive payments either through direct deposit by April 5 or by check by April 15. The payment is a part of the state’s oil and gas revenues for 2022.
Rochester Teachers to Receive Stimulus Check
Another batch of teachers in New York will receive bonuses thanks to the Rochester Teachers Association. The RTA voted to approve a three-year contract, including a retention bonus of $1,500 for each contract’s first two years. Eligible teachers are expected to receive up to $3,000.
According to the agreement, every RTA Teacher Bargaining Unit member is qualified to receive the bonus, but must be “actively employed” until the last day of each school year. The deal also includes a pay increase. The said contract will take effect starting July 1.

Stimulus Check Update from American Airlines
Passengers who became victims of the American Airlines baggage fees case are expected to receive their refunds later this month.
American Airlines settled a class action lawsuit, where they overcharged passengers with baggage fees between 2017 and 2020. To qualify for refunds, passengers must submit claims before February 22, 2023. You can also check the [] to see if you qualify to receive claims from the lawsuit.
Update on the Farm and Food Workers Relief Stimulus Check
Anyone in the agriculture, grocery, and meat packing industry is encouraged to apply for the Farm and Food Workers Relief program. Interested applicants must have worked legally from January 2020 through December 2022.
In Yuma County, Arizona, more than 2,000 farm workers can receive a stimulus check. Arizona residents can contact the Comite de Bienestar, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to Mexican-American farmers and immigrants.
