Five persons were shot by gunfire, according to the Oakland Police Department, who also confirmed to SFGATE on Tuesday afternoon that one of them, 18-year-old Mario Navarro, was killed on Monday night next to a gas station on MacArthur Boulevard.
Two more passengers in a car that was injured by gunshots, according to the police department, were not shot. According to authorities, a vehicle accident including 3 individuals also occurred in the area, and bullets allegedly damaged a nearby business. The shooting between many individuals happened while 40 to 50 people gathered to create a music video, the officer wrote in an email to SFGATE.
