Police in El Paso, Texas, arrested two 14-year-old boys for armed robberies and carjackings

Two 14-year-old boys were detained by El Paso police first on Monday morning on accusations of employing a weapon in a nighttime carjacking and attempted robbery spree across the city, according to officials.

According to police, the teenagers are charged with robbing 5 convenience stores and reportedly kidnapping a 59-year-old man filling up his car at a petrol station on the extreme East Side.

By coming to the far East Side, where cops ended the 5-hour crime spree, it had already hit the Lower Valley, the West Side, and the Upper Valley.

Children under the age of 16 are subject to a juvenile curfew every day from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the city of El Paso and the neighboring regions of El Paso County. The city’s curfew was established in 1991.
