Bus Filled With Migrants
The Philadelphia officials are now preparing for a bus filled with migrants anytime this week. They did not expect this because what they knew is that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sent busses en route to Chicago, New York, and Washington.
It is reported that a bus filled with around 52 migrants from Del Rio, Texas will arrive sometime this week. This will be the first time that Philadelphia will be driven from Texas to Philadelphia.
A spokesperson for Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said that the situation is still “fluid” and the exact timing of the arrival of the bus is still unclear, according to a report published in FOX News.
Philadelphia Spokesperson Released a Statement
Philadelphia Spokesperson said “This information was relayed to us from a community partner organization as Texas officials have not coordinated with the city. We do not have an exact location of where the bus will disembark, nor do we have any specific information about those on board, nor do we know if other buses are planned.”
Meanwhile, it was also found that Philadelphia has been preparing for this to happen since summer because its neighboring cities started receiving busses filled with migrants. On the other hand, the spokesperson of Gov. Greg Abbott did not give any comments.
