Pennsylvania Family Kills Themselves In ‘Joint Decision,’ Police Say

Pennsylvania
NICKEL MINES, PA - OCTOBER 04: Crime scene tape is attached to a white fence in front of the one room Amish school house where the shooting took place two days prior, October 3, 2006 in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania. Officials have said a milk truck driver identified as Charles Carl Roberts IV entered the schoolhouse, let the boys and adults go free, tied up the girls and shot them execution style before committing suicide. A devoted Christian family of three was discovered shot to death in their Pennsylvania garden last week as they took turns in shooting one another as part of a murder-suicide pact they had arranged months earlier, authorities said on Friday.

Morgan Daub, 26, and her parents, James Daub, 62, and Deborah Daub, 59, left extensive notes outlining their “joint decision” to end their lives on Jan. 24 after Morgan informed them she intended to commit suicide, a press statement from the West Manchester Township Police Department revealed.

Since then, the West Manchester Township Police Department has claimed that letters found within the home show the family recently made a “joint decision” to take their own lives.

NBC News wrote that police suspect that after shooting and killing her husband, Deborah Daub was shot and murdered by Morgan, who then committed suicide. Police said there were no indications of a forced entrance, a struggle, or the presence of other people.

While the death investigation has been closed, Morgan Daub made a weird YouTube video in which she identified herself as “a prophet of the highest God.”

In the same footage, she also announced her intention to renounce her position as monarch of England and the United Kingdom.

Pennsylvania Family Kills Themselves in Joint Pact

A threatening letter written by the young lady’s mother was among the information that police in southeast Pennsylvania revealed about what they believe to be a suicide pact between the young woman and her parents.

Fox News, citing detectives with the West Manchester Township Police Department, said Deborah Daub wrote a letter in which she and Morgan chose to end their life together.

Authorities said the letter also mentions “the evil that has mounted against Morgan and the family.” Still, it doesn’t go into any detail. It mentioned God and the Bible and was signed and dated Jan. 19, 2023.

James and Deborah Daub’s suicide notes and other letters by Morgan and James Daub all said that they decided to end the lives of their own free will. The notes were dated Jan. 24, 2023, and James had written, “with only two guns & me being shaky, my wife Debbie pulled the trigger for me.” Deborah wrote, “I was too shaky, so my daughter pulled the trigger for me.”

Morgan Daub’s documents included a multi-page checklist that, according to police, “contain predatory steps before ending her life.” The list said, “speak to dad, clipping the dog’s nails, letters to family, etc.,” they said.

Police mentioned that Deborah Daub shot and killed her husband before being shot and killed by Morgan Daub, who then killed himself.

The ghastly scene underwent a forensic analysis, and they found the way of death to be “consistent with the already available evidence.”
