Melissa Joan Hart shares in an Instagram video posted on Tuesday that she was on her way to her kids’ school near the Covenant School, during the Nashville School shooting for a meeting with the teacher. In the caption of her video, Hart said, “Pray today, act tomorrow.”

Metro Nashville police say that some kids hid in the woods around the school, while others hid in classrooms. Police released surveillance footage of Nashville School shooting that showed that there were kids on the playground when Hale pulled into the school’s parking lot before 10 a.m.

After Officers Rex Engelbert and Michael Collazo killed Hale, students were evacuated in lines. Some people kept their heads down and held on to the shoulder of the student in front of them. Most of them were put on Metro Nashville Public Schools buses and taken to Woodmont Baptist Church, which was set up as a reunification site.

When the news about Nashville School shooting spread, many celebrities, including Shawn Johnson, Jana Kramer, Mickey Guyton, Lauren Daigle, and others from Nashville, spoke out against it. According to the K-12 School Shooting Database, this is the 89th shooting on school grounds this year.
