Mark Wahlberg and his family have decided leaving Hollywood for Las Vegas, Nevada last fall, and he just opened his second Wahlburgers on the Strip.
The Actor and Family Leaving Hollywood for Las Vegas
Mark Wahlberg moved his family, leaving Hollywood for Las Vegas, Nevada last fall, joining the other stars who are leaving Hollywood. The 51-year-old actor recently opened his second Wahlburger’s restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. He says he moved there, leaving Hollywood for Las Vegas to give his children a better life. Walhberg said that the move was great for them in an interview.
The “Father Stu” star said, “It really gives the kids a chance to do well.” Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham, 44, have four children: daughters Ella, 19, and Grace, 13, and sons Michael, 17, and Brendan, 14. In April 2022, he put their luxurious Beverly Hills home on the market for $87.5 million and then bought a home in Summerlin, just outside of Las Vegas, in the exclusive neighborhood of The Summit Club.
The man from Boston said that the move was “really about giving kids a chance to go after their goals and dreams.” “My daughter rides horses,” he said. “My son’s a golfer. Now, my oldest daughter is going to college. My son’s a junior. “There are also a lot of chances for me here. We’re making an effort to set up a studio. We are building the shoe factory. Here, we want to make a lot of jobs.”

Big Plans for His New Home City
Last October, when he was on “The Talk,” Wahlberg talked about his big plans for his new city. “I moved to Nevada, where, after this gubernatorial election, hopefully a bill will be passed so we can get a tax credit for the state, build a state-of-the-art studio here, and make this Hollywood 2.0,” he said.
The “Boogie Nights” actor also talked about his plans to build a shoe factory in Sin City and a factory for his clothing line, Municipal. He is an investor in the sneaker resale marketplace StockX. Wahlberg said he was looking forward to his new life, leaving Hollywood for Las Vegas.
He states, “We are always looking for new chances and new adventures.” “The kids are happy, and everything is for them.” Wahlberg also said that he would still like to work with “Steven Spielbergs, Meryl Streeps, and also the next generation.” He has been an actor for decades, but he said that he is still willing to try out for roles and prove himself.
