Man Surrenders After Escaping the Scene of Fatal Shooting Outside Convenience Store, As Per HPD

On December 23, a man was shot and murdered outside of a convenience store on Houston’s northeast side, according to authorities.

On Friday, Houston police officers responded to a report of gunfire in a parking lot at 4131 Bennington Street. They discovered a man murdered with numerous gunshot wounds when they got there. According to authorities, the suspect left the area.

In the process of their investigation, HPD investigators watched the security footage and discovered that two individuals fought. At that point, they discovered that the suspect who had shot the 34-year-old victim was 37-year-old Terrance Jermaine Nash. According to court records, Nash was seen on surveillance video from the store hitting Jefferson repeatedly before pulling a revolver from his car and shooting him numerous times before driving away from the scene.

Nash surrendered himself to authorities on Wednesday at the Harris County Jail, and he was accused of murder in the 248th State District Court.
