California School Fight: Man Punches 3 Basketball Players

Fox News said basketball players started pushing one another after a battle for the ball resulted in a foul call on January 24, during a match between the Santiago High School Sharks and Centennial High School Huskies in California.

Then, authorities said a man named Thaddis Brooks entered the court from the stands and hit a number of the female athletes. The game was then stopped in the fourth quarter when the man harmed three females, ages 16 and 17.

However, as the Corona Police Department noted in a statement obtained by Fox News, it wasn’t the worst of it.

Witnesses overheard the guy say Brooks was going to get a gun as he exited the gym. Afterward, the man got out of his car and crossed the parking lot to get a firearm.

The guy brandished the gun at several children as they were in the parking lot and threatened to shoot them. Just before the police arrived at the school, the suspect vanished from the area.

Man Threatens More Female Students

Police Sgt. Jason Waldon told The Los Angeles Times that Brooks threatened to shoot numerous more female students while pointing his firearm at them in the parking lot.

Police raided his house on Thursday. Although there were more than 40 dogs there, no firearms were discovered. According to the police statement, animal control officials “determined there were animal cruelty factors present due to the conditions of the residence.”

The Washington Post said officials detained Brooks suspicion of making criminal threats, brandishing a weapon, having a weapon while a felon, having a weapon on school property, and abusing children.

On Saturday, he was still in jail on $350,000 bail. It was only apparent if he had a lawyer to represent him.
