A man in Pennsylvania lost his temper and killed his own 5-month-old son while watching him because he would not stop crying.
Man Killed His 5-Month-Old Son
Officials in Pennsylvania said that the father of the 5-month-old boy could face homicide charges after he was accused of killing his baby. A news outlet reported that 29-year-old Michael Barber was already being held for aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and recklessly endangering another person in connection with the child’s death late last summer.
In a published article in Front Page Detectives, the incident happened shortly after midnight on Aug.31. The baby was identified as Michael Barber Jr. was admitted to the McKeesport Hospital in critical condition, police authorities said. His 5-month-old son suffered from subdural hemorrhaging, arachnoid hemorrhaging, and cerebral edema, doctors said.
Father of the Baby Attempted to Deny the Allegation
The father of the 5-month-old boy attempted to deny the allegation. He first claimed that he was holding his son when he tripped and fell. He told the police that his body accidentally slammed into the baby’s body.
Later on, he admitted that he lost his temper because his 5-month-old son would not stop crying. It was the reason why he shook his baby. According to the Allegheny County medical examiner, the baby died from abusive head trauma and ruled the death a homicide.
