Police authorities in Houston said that an 11-year-old boy was shot in the leg while going home after he and his 15-year-old brother were taking out the trash.

11-Year-old Boy Was Shot in the Leg
Houston police said that an 11-year-old boy was shot in the leg while taking out the trash on Tuesday night. He was already walking and going home together with his 15-year-old brother when the shooting incident happened shortly after 10:00 p.m.
It happened at an apartment complex at Briar Forest Drive and South Kirkwood Road in west Houston but it is not known if the shooting was intended or just an accident. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old boy was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital to be treated. The latest report said that he is now in a good condition.

Man Was Arrested and Charged
Noe Fernandez, 22 years old, was arrested and charged with injury to a child. Investigators said that the two boys heard an argument that night and then a gunshot. They, later on, realized that the 11-year-old boy was already shot in the leg, KHOU11 reports.
During the investigation, they found that Fernandez fired his gun inside a residence in Briar Forest, striking the child. The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and treated the boy.
