On the Thursday episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” which included Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, the well-known podcast host Joe Rogan referred to the former president Donald Trump as a “king” to “the morons.”
A video recording of the podcast, released by Mediaite, showed the guest and presenter at one point discussing Rep. George Santos (R-NY), who is engaged in a dispute over the falsification of his resume.
He continued that more politicians would follow Rogan, and eliminating lobbyists and particular interest organizations is the only way to prevent them from gaining control.
As Trump was such an outsider, Rogan added, “that’s why it was exciting to see somebody like Trump rise to power.”
Portnoy responded that officials in Washington lacked the skills necessary to interact with Trump. “The endless political years combined against them. They didn’t know how to respond because everything he did was different from what they had planned,” he continued.
“And the idiots had a king,” Rogan added in. “There are many idiots around. It doesn’t matter what Trump says because he speaks for them,” he said.
