Garner, 50, stars as the lead, Hannah, in the Apple TV+ series, which is based on a novel of the same name by Laura Dave.
Actress Jennifer Garner graced the red carpet at the star-studded premiere of the upcoming thriller series “The Last Thing He Told Me” in LA on Thursday
The story follows Hannah as she forms an unexpected relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared. Garner’s character’s husband, Owen, is played by “Game of Thrones” alum Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, while her teenage stepdaughter is portrayed by Angourie Rice.
Garner looked youthful and elegant in a strapless white gown, which hugged her figure and had rectangular, slightly reflective embellishments throughout the fabric. She completed the look with open-toed gold strappy heels, long silver dangly earrings, and minimal accessories, allowing the gown to be the main focal point.
Garner’s makeup was glammed up for the special evening, with shimmering bronze eyeshadow, black mascara, and a light pink blush. The actress added a rosy pink tint to her lips for a finishing touch.
Jennifer Garner expressed her excitement for the role in an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this month, stating that she had taken great lengths to get the part. The actress stated that she stayed up all night writing letters and sending them out in the hopes of being cast as Hannah.
Garner said, “I went for it. And I stayed up all night writing letters, like all night, like seeing the sunrise, just writing and rewriting letters and sending these letters out. And then the next night, I did it again.”
Reese Witherspoon, an executive producer on the show, was also spotted on the red carpet, showing off her toned frame in a one-shoulder black minidress
Meanwhile, Aisha Taylor joined other stars at the premiere wearing a ruffled layered dress, adding colorful glittering heels for a fashionable flare.
Garner soon crossed paths with both Witherspoon and Taylor, and the stunning trio posed for a few memorable photos together on the red carpet. Garner and Witherspoon were also seen sharing a quick embrace, with the two friends reuniting briefly at the event.
The highly anticipated series, which also stars Chris Messina and is directed by Jesse Peretz, is set to air later this week on April 14 on Apple TV+. Laura Dave, the creative mind behind the book that the series has been adapted from, also made an appearance at the event to show her support for the project and all those involved in bringing the story to life. Dave was effortlessly chic wearing black pants that fell down past her ankles, along with a black velvet double-breasted blazer.
