A Jan. 6 suspect who was accused of the Donald Trump voter who injured a Washington, D.C. policeman in the neck with a stun gun throughout the assault on the Capitol was found guilty on 3 charges on Tuesday.
The decision was made on the exact day that former President Donald Trump was scheduled to be charged in Manhattan court on allegations relating to bribing money payments made to pornographic film star Stormy Daniels.
After being charged with conspiracy, interference of justice, helping or assisting, and messing with records or procedures, Ed Badalian was taken into custody in November 2021.
He was charged and convicted of interference with an official procedure, conspiracy to conduct an act against the United States, and a misdemeanor count. Since the judge believed that a govt. defendant, a former Jan. 6 rioter, was a “complete mess” on the stand, he was judged not guilty of the interference charge.
