When new atmospheric river begins to cause more terrible floods, Californians who a series of hazardous storms have already blasted will be drenched once more.
Flood alerts for most of California, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fresno, and Sacramento, were in effect for over 30 million citizens on Monday.
Northern and central California is scheduled to feel the storm’s full force starting late Monday, while Southern California will feel it beginning Tuesday.
Many have already received warning alerts due to a barrier failure in Monterey County that is being blamed for deadly weekend floods. Additionally, Monterey Bay homeowners can soon find themselves virtually blocked off by more stormwater, on an island.
Following hundreds of water recoveries in recent days, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services announced Monday that approximately 20 swift-water rescue teams had been sent to over 10 counties before the upcoming storm.
