Recipients of Supplemental Security Income will get their second payout in March in 2 weeks.
The second payout will be issued on March 31 after the first installment was distributed to qualified beneficiaries on March 1. Since April 1 falls on a Saturday this year, the extra payment will replace April’s pay. Single filers receive payments valued at $914 each, for a sum of $1,828 in March.

On the first day of each month, the Social Security Administration normally mails 1 SSI check. To assure beneficiaries have always had the check to make their payments by the first of the month, the administration distributes the checks on the final working day of the last month if the first day of the month is a holiday or weekend, as stated by the agency.
Other groups will also receive the double payment. Couples who qualify will get two payments totaling $1,371 in March, while key family members who live with SSI recipients and assist them will receive 2 checks totaling $458 each.
Several times a year, recipients get 2 checks within one month, yet they still get a maximum of 12 payments.
