Grand Rapids Meijer Offers Free Delivery To SNAP Beneficiaries

Millions of Americas rely on SNAP benefits to purchase nutritious food and meet their daily needs every day through the program. The amount that each American received varies on the state where they lived, which is why many also are trying to look for ways how to stretch their SNAP.

The Grand Rapids Meijer is now offering free home delivery of groceries to SNAP beneficiaries. Once you purchased eligible food items at the store, they will have them delivered for free. This will only last until Dec.31 this year, according to a published article in Detroit Free Press.

Meanwhile, the store offered a 10 percent discount last October on fresh fruit and vegetables purchased in stores. This discount will also last on Dec. 31. According to the same source of news, the 10 percent discount and delivery were approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

How to Avail these Promos?

It is important to note that a 10 percent discount is only available to eligible items to qualify for this promo. On the other hand, the free delivery of food items should be placed through meijer.com. The delivery fee is waived at checkout when SNAP benefits are used as a form of payment.

Additionally, SNAP beneficiaries should go and visit the website meijer.com/ebt-snap either from a desktop or from a mobile phone. You only have to create an account or sign in to add an EBT card as a payment method, then you can avail the free home delivery.
