Fourth Stimulus Check Update: Americans To Receive $1,200 Checks Soon

US citizens will receive checks worth $1,200 under the Golden State Stimulus program. After concluding the federal stimulus payments, several states have introduced stimulus payments. Thousands of households and individuals will receive the stimulus checks soon. California residents will receive reviews under the Golden State Stimulus II.

The US Sun reports that eligible residents will receive $1,200 or $1,100 checks. The government has issued 12.3 million stimulus checks worth $8.8 billion. The payments will come in two rounds in mid-March and mid-April, respectively. The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic shattered the finances of millions of individuals.

Low-Wage workers will benefit from the stimulus checks

The US Sun reports that Oregon lawmakers approved $600 stimulus payments earlier. Around 250,000 low-income workers will receive the checks. Lawmakers focus on helping struggling individuals amidst these challenging times. The US Sun quoted the Change.org petition’s admin, Stephanie Bonin, who wrote, “My name is Stephanie, and I am one of the millions of Americans who fear for my financial future because of this coronavirus crisis. With businesses and schools closing across the country to control the spread of the virus, many people have already lost their jobs. Others are being forced to stay home; this is catastrophic for working families like mine. I’m calling on Congress to support families with a $2,000 payment for kids immediately and continuing regular checks for the duration of the crisis.

Federal payments will reduce the poverty level

Otherwise, laid-off workers, furloughed workers, the self-employed, and workers dealing with reduced hours will struggle to pay their rent or put food on the table.”
The federal government needs to look into this matter quickly and devise proper steps to help the families. Several children have fallen below the poverty level after the cessation of stimulus payments and the Child Tax Credit. The continuous rise in inflation has worsened the situation; individuals cannot meet their basic needs due to the price rise in the past few months.

The US market is crumbling, and the authorities should come forward to help the low-income households. Unfortunately, the reports suggest that inflation will continue in the upcoming months, and individuals must adapt to the difficult circumstances.
