Las Vegas Woman and Her Boyfriend Killed the Doctor
A Las Vegas woman, 29-year-old Kelsey Turner, and her boyfriend ruthlessly killed a California doctor whose body was found inside a trunk outside Las Vegas. Prosecutors said that Turner, her boyfriend, and their roommate were involved in the fatal death of 71-year-old psychiatrist Thomas Kirk Burchard.
Turner was intimately linked with Burchard, and according to Diana Pena, his roommate, Turner was angered by photographs and texts that Burchard had kept on his phone. Pena said that the boyfriend, Jon Kennison, struck the victim with a bat. Turner instructed Kennison to strike him once more rather than take him to the hospital, ABC EYEWITNESS NEWS reports.
Additionally, the body of the 71-year-old psychiatrist Thomas Kirk Burchard and a bloodied bat was found in his abandoned Mercedes-Benz near Lake Mead.

Former Model Accepts the Plea
The court document showed that the 28-year-old former model Kelsey Turner accepted the Alford plea to second-degree murder. Instead of pleading guilty, she acknowledged that there is enough evidence for her conviction in relation to the crime.
She is scheduled for sentencing on Jan.10 and she could receive from 10 to 25 years in prison but with possible parole in 10 years. On the other hand, her boyfriend was sentenced to between 18 and 45 years in prison while Pena pleaded guilty and will have a reduced sentence in an exchange for testifying in the crime.
