Former Babysitter Murdered a Family

Former babysitter Steven Procopio, 23 years old, will spend the rest of his life in prison after he was found guilty of manslaughtering three persons. The victims were identified as Nicole Pumphrey, Amariah Emery, and Lawrence Cannon.

According to a report published in Law and Crime, the former babysitter was with another man, 31-year-old Anthony Cooper, on Oct.18, 2018 when he went to the Pumphrey’s residence located at 300 block of North Street with the intention of robbing.

However, Procopio shot Pumphrey twice and Cannon once in the head while they were sitting on a couch in the living room. During the investigation, it was found that the 10-year-old child was also shot once through the mouth while holding her 14-month-old sister in her arms
