A former babysitter in Pennsylvania fatally murdered a mother of five, a 10-year-old daughter, and her boyfriend in 2018.
Former Babysitter Murdered a Family
Former babysitter Steven Procopio, 23 years old, will spend the rest of his life in prison after he was found guilty of manslaughtering three persons. The victims were identified as Nicole Pumphrey, Amariah Emery, and Lawrence Cannon.
According to a report published in Law and Crime, the former babysitter was with another man, 31-year-old Anthony Cooper, on Oct.18, 2018 when he went to the Pumphrey’s residence located at 300 block of North Street with the intention of robbing.
However, Procopio shot Pumphrey twice and Cannon once in the head while they were sitting on a couch in the living room. During the investigation, it was found that the 10-year-old child was also shot once through the mouth while holding her 14-month-old sister in her arms

Former Babysitter Will Face Life Imprisonment
A Lawrence County jury released its decision in October. They found Procopio guilty of the following:
- Two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the mother-daughter killings
- One count of third-degree murder in connection with Cannon’s death
- Procopio’s sentence for third-degree murder was merged with the second-degree convictions
Meanwhile, Cooper pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree murder and he was ordered to serve a sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison.
