A Florida man was arrested and charged after police officers that he murdered his estranged wife and transported her body to an unknown location.
Florida Man Was Taken Into Custody
Florida man Jose Luis Pacheco, 36 years old, was taken into custody on Monday. Police authorities found evidence that would suggest he killed his estranged wife Mimose Dulcio. He was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office issued a missing alert person for Dulcio on November 30. According to a published report in Law & Crime, she was last seen at her home located in unincorporated Broward on November 10 at around 5:30 in the afternoon.
The Florida man told the officers that he has not seen or heard Dulcio in the past several days during the investigation. He also added that they are in the process of divorce.
Meanwhile, a BSO spokesperson wrote in a press release “Through investigative methods, a search warrant was obtained for the couple’s home and shared vehicle. During the search, investigators found evidence that suggested Dulcio had been murdered in the couple’s home, and that her body had been transported in the couple’s shared vehicle and disposed of in an unknown location.”
Arrest Warrant Issued Against the Florida Man
Detectives with the BSO Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response Unit, in cooperation with officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department, arrested Pacheco in Miami after an arrest warrant was issued on Monday in connection to the death of his estranged wife.
The Texas man is currently under the custody of the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on an out-of-county warrant without bond while waiting to be transferred to the Broward County Main Jail.
