According to an announcement, the qualification for New York’s Healthcare Worker Bonus Program was expanded late the last year.
Security personnel, police officers, assisting housing specialists, and home healthcare supervisors are now included in the program’s eligibility list.
The up to $3,000 bonuses are available to eligible New York healthcare professionals who have completed up to 2 six-month “vesting periods” from October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2022.
As per Governor Kathy Hochul, the payouts are a way of saying “thank you” to the medical first respondents who faced the most severe phase of the pandemic and also act as an investment in the employment of healthcare workers.
