California Governor Gavin Newsom announced in January that the state would extend the state tax deadlines and payment due dates to October 16.

California is among the states that were impacted by the winter storms in December and January. Governor Newsom said the state aligns with the Biden Administration as communities recover from the damage caused by winter storms. Escalon Times reports residents can expect tax relief and additional days for tax deadlines.
