Ex-Wife Kimberly Guilfoyle Claims: Gavin Newsom Won’t Run for President

Speaking at a Republican Party conference over the weekend, Kimberly Guilfoyle reportedly made fun of her ex-husband, California Governor Gavin Newsom, by stating, “He ain’t making it to the White House.”

For many months, Newsom has been mentioned as a potential replacement for President Joe Biden should he decide against running for re-election in 2024. Earlier this month, during a visit to the border between the United States and Mexico, he reignited rumors about his intentions to run for president. He appreciated Biden’s efforts to change the nation’s immigration laws and criticized Republicans for demonizing Democrats on the subject without suggesting any solutions of their own.

Addressing on Sunday at Turning Point USA’s “AmericaFest,” Guilfoyle reportedly criticized California’s current plan to ban the sale of gas-powered automobiles in the state by 2035 before commenting on her ex-political husband’s career.

“Without mentioning how they want to finance and power alternatives; California has threatened to ban gas-powered cars. He won’t be going to the White House, Guilfoyle said, adding, “A bunch of winners over there, guys.”

The insult differs from earlier reports that said the two had remained friendly following the separation of their 5-year marriage in 2006.
