Dollar Tree raised its standard price point from $1 to $1.25 in 2022, with more changes on the way. The Fortune 500 company has also been working on Dollar Tree Plus, a new initiative to expand the products available in stores. The new locations will sell products for $3 and $5, a departure from the company’s long-standing $1 price point.
More Dollar Tree Plus! Stores
Dollar Tree anticipates having at least 5,000 Dollar Tree Plus locations by the end of 2024. These stores will sell products at three price points: $1.25, $3, and $5. There are only a few stores, but the new products can also be purchased online.
Combination Stores Are in the Works
Some existing Dollar Tree locations will also receive a Dollar Tree Plus upgrade. Over the next few years, the company plans to open up to 3,000 Combo Stores. Combo Stores will be located in existing Dollar Tree locations and will offer additional Dollar Tree Plus items. Other aspects of the store will remain unchanged.
How To Get the Best Deals
The Dollar Tree Plus program allows customers to shop for more items at lower prices. There are new cleaning supplies, household goods, clothing, and toys for children. Customers should still compare prices before making a purchase to get the best deals. Some of the items are great buys, but others can be found for less elsewhere.
