Does Recreational Marijuana Use be Legalized in Florida?

New research indicates everyday marijuana usage increases your risk of heart disease by 35% and comes as support for legalizing marijuana for legal use surges in Florida as pro-marijuana activists strive to get a constitutional change on the vote in 2024. Are we exposing our state to a medical disaster if we approve marijuana for commercial use?  We are also interested in hearing your opinions about making marijuana use legal for commercial purposes, like always.

Governor DeSantis criticized Orange-Osceola State Attorney Monique Worrell for being sympathetic toward violent youth offenders like shooting accused Keith Moses, and Worrell fired back at the Governor.

In November 2020, voters in New Jersey, Arizona, South Dakota, and Montana passed laws making cannabis use for commercial purposes legal for those at least 21 years old. As an outcome, one in 3 Americans currently resides in places where marijuana use by adults is legalized. Florida, too, continues to restrict marijuana use for recreational purposes. But that might change if the Texas Supreme Court doesn’t ban the procedure first.

The political group Makes It Legal Florida is attempting to get a constitutional proposal that will legalize commercial marijuana in the election in 2022. The organization has already gathered enough signatures to consider 2022 a possibility after struggling to collect more to get the proposal on the 2020 ballot.
