If you have a Costco membership, you must take advantage of the warehouse club deals to save money before inflation further increases.

The retailer is known for its low-priced items; it is advisable to begin stocking up to avoid buying similar items at a higher price and spending money on gas. But before you go to your nearest Costco store, make a yearly budget and make a list.

Take note of all the items you need to repurchase later; for instance, purchasing in bulk for toothpaste and toiletries is better than buying single items.

Rebecca Gramuglia, a consumer expert at TopCashback.com, said, “That is why if you are purchasing in bulk, regularly-used and non-perishable goods are great to stock up on at wholesale clubs.”

Gramuglia also said that if you want the best deal, it is important to compare the cost per unit. She noted that buying in bulk is not always the right option. For instance, some items like fruit snacks or face wash have expiration dates and ensure you have enough time to consume them before the product expires. Otherwise, you have to throw it away, which wastes money.

GOBankingRates recommended stocking up on diapers, personal care products, canned goods, grains and legumes, and baking ingredients. Costco offers the wholesale club price and a manufacturer’s discount for some of the mentioned items. For instance, Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser costs $17.99 for two 20 ounces at Costco, in contrast to the same-sized cleanser at Target, with $14.49.
