On Christmas morning inside a Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Thornton, Colorado, a man shot and murdered his wife before turning the gun on himself, according to authorities.
The two individuals discovered dead at the location were a married couple who had previously belonged to the Kingdom Hall congregation, according to a news release from Thornton Police.
The victim’s names will be verified later, according to the police, by the Adams County Coroner’s Officer.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Material Unit is presently looking into suspicious devices discovered at the scene, according to the statement, and investigators are interrogating witnesses as part of the current investigation.
